RED HEART® "Light and Lofty®": 3 skeins 9617 Pheasant CA, 8 skeins 9334 Cafe Au Lait CB.
Crochet Hook: 11.5mm [U.S. P-16].
Yarn needle.

GAUGE: 7 sts and 5 rows = 3 inches CHECK YOUR GAUGE: Use any size hook to obtain gauge.

Afghan: With CB, ch 91.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 1, skip next ch, sc in next ch *, rep from * to across, turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, sc in next ch 1 sp, * ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch 1 sp *, rep from * to * across to within last 2 sts, sc in next ch 1 sp, sc in last sc, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first sc, * ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch 1 sp *, rep from * to across to within last 2 sc, ch 1, skip next sc, sc in last sc, turn.

Rows 4-109: Rep Rows 2 and 3, 53 times. End of row 109, fasten off.

Weaving: With right side of afghan facing, using yarn needle start in first row. *** * Using double strand length of CA, bring yarn from back of work up through first ch 1 sp, leaving several inches on edge, * insert needle from top to bottom in next ch 1 sp, insert needle from bottom to top in next ch 1 sp *, rep from * to * across, knot end to last st, weave in ends, knot opposite side to end st, weave in ends. Skip next Row (Row 2).

Using double strand length CA, working in next row (Row 3) bring yarn from front of work down through first ch 1 sp, leaving several inches on edge, ** insert needle from bottom to top in next ch 1 sp, insert needle from top to bottom in next ch 1 sp **, rep from * to * across, knot end to last st, weave in ends, knot other end to lat st, weave in ends. Skip next row (Row 4).

Working in next Row ***, (Row 5), continue working from *** to *** down length, ending with CA worked through last row.

Afghan Border: With right side of afghan facing, join CB in top right hand corner sc.

Rnd 1: *** ch 1, sc in first sc, * ch 1, skip next ch 1 sp, sc in next sc *, rep from * to across, ch 1, skip first row down length, sc in end st of next row, ** ch 1, skip next row, sc in end st of next row **, rep from ** to ** down length to next corner, rep from *** to *** around, ch 1, join with sl st to beg sc.

Rnd 2: Sl st in first c 1 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 3, sl st in sc just made, sc) in ch 1 sp, * sc in next ch 1 sp, (sc, ch 3, sl st in sc just made, sc) in next ch 1 sp *, rep from * to * around, join with sl st to beg sc. Fasten off.
