In 2012, I plan to finish my "potpourri" afghan that is essentially a ton of practice squares that I have made over the last several months. There are knit and crochet squares and rectangles of different gauges, yarns and needle sizes. My mother has recently passed down my great grandmother's crocheted drawer sachets. I absolutely will be incorporating those into my afghan! And I also am severely determined to teach myself how to tat. That was another skill my great grandmother possessed and I believe it is a lost art. I want to tat so swiftly and delicately as she.... C'est la vie!!!!

get lots of yarns to make crochet dish rags for Christmas gifts for the ladies at my Church.

I plan to crochet a doily with flowers in white color all around doily and then crochet tiny flowers on top of white flowers with different colors and sell it.
I also plan to crochet some cable socks and probably make my first sweater.

I already have started on my 2012 projects. I have 2 great-nieces that will be born in March and a great-nephew due in April. I had to start on these gifts right after Christmas or I won't get them done. Then my soon-to-be SIL requested a dresser scarf in pineapples for their wedding gift which is in Sept. I sure hope I don't need anything this year as there won't be much time for personal stuff.

I always have to have a project ongoing in crochet. If I win the gift card from Jo-Ann Fabrics, I plan on making a Green Bay Packer afghan for my daughter. She, as is the rest of my family, is a huge Green Bay Packer fan! She has her basement rec room totally devoted to our beloved Green Bay Packers. I will make her a warm, snuggly afghan in Packer colors so that she can cuddle up in it while watching the them having another fabulous season!

I plan on finishing an afghan for my son. It started as an exercise in learning how to crochet i granny square, and now it us the never-ending granny square...LOL! I am also going to crochet a couple of sweaters for myself as well as a kitty bed/new toys for the newest member of our family, Geddy, whose purr is as loud as a B-52 bomber plane. :-)

I just finished crocheting 3 hats.

I have a few projects I'm working on in 2012. I have 4 different afghans on my needles right now, in January. One is a Nine Patch Quilt design that will be a wedding gift in July, one is an Elongated Granny Square, just to try something I haven't made before, one is a delicate, lacy design baby blanket, and another is all different sizes of square together for an afghan to give for a Christmas gift for my brother. I have another pattern I just purchased for a baby blanket with a pineapple edging, a scarf that looks like a fox pelt, and who knows what else I'll end up making. Crocheting is a daily thing for me, so I'm sure there will be other things. So many patterns, so little time!!

I am already doing hair pins & hair band in crochet for the Spring. I do plan to start a blanket fo my teen son who has made a request.

I am very excitedly reminding myself how to knit baby clothes. My daughter is having her first child (IVF) in July and has requested "old fashioned" hand knitted baby clothes. I am getting along very well - much to my surprise and can't wait to complete my first project ( a matinee jacket, bonnet and bootees)!!!

I want to try crocheting some socks this year. I will also be making my niece an afghan and my aunt one out of granny squares. Oh, and I will also be making tons of kitchen goodies for my friends and family.

I have several UFOs I plan to finish. I also want to learn fair isle knitting.

I will be making some Baby Booties to donate to Birthline.

Also want to Crochet some Angels for next Christmas.

Good luck to all.

I am making 2 baby blankets now - 1 for a March baby and 1 for a June baby.
I also want to get things ready earlier, for this years Christmas craft-shows and bazaars.

My plan is to make a fun squishy cat shaped blanket for my dear Miss Macey (She's a kitten) I already have the pattern picked out, now I just need the yarn!!!! It will be Pink for sure :)

I will be finishing an afghan I started in October of last year. I will be starting on some projects for Spring...light weight sweaters and some home decor. I am keepng my Christmas tree in the spotlight all year and changing the ornaments for each month so I will be designing items for the tree. Be Well...Be Blessed! Maggie
I started the New Year by finishing a crochet projects. Two actually. One 'Hello Kitty hat, and one 'Lil' Bear' hat for my twin granddaughter and grandson; whose birthdays are on New Years Day. This month I'm working on Valentine and St. Patty's Day plastic Canvas projects. But I can't seem to stay away from Crochet for too long a time. I have a request for one zig zag afghan so far. But I know there will be more requests. But I'm looking around for something special to crochet for the grandkids. I haven't made up my mind yet.
im going to make a granny sqare afghan for a double size bed
I love this site ! So many patterns and now a chance for a Joann's gift card ! That's a heavenly combination !!
I plan on knitting/crocheting baby buntings, baby sweaters, baby afghans for the Fresno Children's Hospital plus knitting sweaters for the local animal shelter
I am the head of the Prayer Shawl Ministry at my church. In 2012 I will be making many prayer shawls for those in need. Additionally, I make gift items for sale, i.e., hats, scarves, shawls, cowls. So my crochet hooks and I will be spending a lot of time together this year. I am so excited about all the wonderful upcoming projects.
Making scarves for Special Olympics -- then afghans for granddaughters, wristers for arthritis, lace lamp shade cover and snowflake ornaments and topper for next year's trees.
At the request of my grandson,I am crocheting two things I never dreamed I would, Sackboy and Gir. I had to look them up to know what they were! They've been interesting and fun. But my next project its back to shawls! lol
Besides making items for our local hospitals nurseries, chemo hats and pillow cases for our local cancer center. I am going to be a grandmother of twins in the summer , so my sewing machine ,crochet hooks and knitting needles are going to be busy.
2012 Will be a very busy year! I have 4 grandchildren 5 and under the youngest turning 1 in March - I had made them all scarves and hats with their favorite colors last year. This year I plan on making ALL my Christmas gifts again for the Grandchildren AND the children. So, for the 3 sons Warm winter hats and matching scarves, for the 4 daughters, Mobious's for 3 of the daughters up north and a cotton vest for the daughter in Florida and sweaters with matching dribble bibs for the two youngest grandchildren and sweater for the oldest grandson (age 5) and a nursery school dress for the older granddaughter - combo tee shirt with crochet bottom and trim (age 3). So as you see, I will be busy. of course, I have other works in progress I will be working on simultaneously!
I have just received "Knit Your Own Dog" by Sally Muir and Joanna Osbourne, So I think I will be making lots of these cute little dogs. They seem like an ideal way to use up lots of little scraps of handspun.
I'm making afghans and chemo hats to donate, plus making sweaters for my daughters and hats and ponchos for my grandaughter! My hands are rarely still!
I am bed bound 95% of the time and knitting has fast become my Sanity saver
Forgot to mention what I want the cotton yarn for! Made a great bag with it last time. Time to make myself a summer top.
I will be making afghans, potholders, dish towels, dish cloths, hanger covers, and baby items. Who knows what else? I'm always on the lookout for new patterns!
