Rnd 29: Ch 1, 7 sc in each lp around; join with a sl st to first sc. Fasten off Weave in ends.

Twisted Cord Strap: Cut three 4 yard lengths of thread. Bring the ends together and tie in a knot close to the ends. Tape the knotted ends to a table. Slip a crochet hook or pencil in the loop opposite the knotted end; keeping thread taut, twirl the pencil or hook (twisting the strands) until threads are very tightly twisted. Bring loop and knotted ends together; secure to prevent untwisting. Remaining thread will form the twisted cord; smooth kinks from the cord. Weave the cord through the last rnd (28 loops) and tie ends together. Cut off original knot and let the threads form short fringe. Trim.

ABBREVIATIONS: ch = chain; lp = loop; mm = millimeters; pat = pattern; rep = repeat; rnd = round; sc = single cro-chet; sl = slip; sp(s) = space (s): st(s) = stitch (es); tr = treble crochet; * = repeat whatever follows the * as indicated; [ ] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified.
