Description: You can almost hear the "prancing and pawing of each little hoof" as reindeer frolic through the evergreen forest on this merry afghan. Front post and long double crochets form the wintry motifs as well as the crisscross pattern above them. The festive hue and design lend the cover-up an air of Christmas celebration, but it can be displayed throughout the cold-weather months. Our design was crocheted using worsted weight yarn and a size I (5.50 mm) hook.

Help with this pattern. For row 7 it says to single crochet in each stitch across. Should you sc in the long double crochets and front post double crochet or do you sc in the skipped sc from the previous row ? If you don't sc in the skipped sc the back of the afghan will not be smooth. Is the back supposed to be smooth ? Any assistance is appreciated.
