This summer I plan to do a few newborn items for a baby boy that will arrive in August

I would love to start working on some of my fall patterns, but unfortunately I'm running out of time. I think I'm going to start looking for Christmas patterns. Does anyone have a pattern for a crocheted/stuffed Christmas tree? I saw a beautiful one years ago, with beads added to it. It doesn't HAVE to be one with beads. I can always add them if I want. But I have been trying, and my tree kinda looks like a lopsided pyramid! essh.. After I sign out of here, I will look on this purple kitty site. Hopefully I can find one in time for Christmas. If anyone has one, can you enter it as a comment in this forum? Or just email me at kmeador1@hotmail.com Thanks!
I really haven't any summer plans. I am disabled and so I don't get out and do a lot of things like I use to. I have dug up all of the geneology information that my Mother and I have collected over the years and I'm planning on putting it in my computer and then burning it on to dvd's for all my family members. Of course I will crochet and knitt my little hands offmaking things for my family and friends, and maybe even a few things for myself.
I am delighted by your contest. I hope to win, so I can give my daughter-in-law this wonderful book. She is anxious to learn. Thanks
I plan to finish at least a couple of the projects I've already started. And maybe start a couple too.
We homeschool year-round, so my son and I are working on some Math this summer. For my crochettoing, I was making market tote bags in several styles---but this past week I got back to working on my Fall stockpile of 'Nursing Home' lapghans............28 round Granny Square afgans in many colors to take to local nursing homes this Fall. I do this to carry on a my Grandmother's tradition. She is still alive and well at 87, but she can no longer crochet. I crochet with her hooks and also with my other Granny's hooks, that were left to me when she passed away last year when she passed away at age 90. My mom taught me to crochet and my home is decorated with things crocheted by my grandfather's sisters, so Crocheting is in my DNA!
I have finished my main summer project. My niece is expecting July 30 and I made her a hooded blanket and 3 bibs. I felt it was to hot for a sweater set. I also made her a shawl as I like to include something for Mom too. I made a miniature kitchen set, towel, potholder/dishcloth & hotpad for her daughter's kitchen, because I don't want her to feel left out. The package is on it's way. Now to start some Pineapple angel ornaments for SIL, she is a pineapple fanatic and finish the Barbie bridal gown I have been plugging away at since spring.
Thank you for all of your work in putting this website together, I love vintage patterns. My Summer plans include trying at least 10 of the vintage baby patterns.
I'm new to this site & I love it!!! I'm staying with my parents this summer and crocheting a new sweater for fall. I've been going swimming as often as I can & trying to stay cool in this Texas Heat!!
I plan on finishing: knitted celtic knotwork scarf, knitted drawstring craft bag (for stash & dash projects), knitted cardigan (my 1st) & knitted sunflower shaped baby blanket pattern that I'm writing (also a 1st). It would be cool to win this book, seems like it would be fun to work with :) I hope all ya'll are having a wonderful summer :D
Working on crocheting a baby blanket and completing crocheted development ball for babies.
This summer, I have knitted and crocheted 5 stuffed animals as baby shower gifts, crocheted a pineapple shawl, and am now working on a crocheted pineapple and bobble poncho. That, in addition to working in my greenhouse and on my raised garden beds, walking 5 km 6 days a week, fishing in the lake where we live, and building a new deck, laundry podium and garage workroom with my hubby. Now we're getting into picking season for raspberries, wild cherries, chokecherries, blackcurrants and wild blueberries. Whew! :)
I have joined Soldiers Angels and I'm making lapghans for wounded soldiers, I babysit my grand daughter in the evenings, I crochet while she sleeps, her mom works till midnight, so I have lots of time.
Presently, I am crocheting the Anastasia Afghan from Herrschners. I also plan on crocheting some book markers, coasters, potholders, and dishclothes to donate to the Pepperwood Park Craft Club at the senior park where I live. The Craft Club sells these items at the Christmas fund raiser to help provide for local foster children that are "aging out" of the system. I just finished a turtle back jacket for my friend's 84th birthday.
We are hoping to get to the coast this summer. I take care of my elderly mom and she has made this request. In the meantime, I have 2 new nephews and a new grandson so I am very busy with sweaters and afghans. I have also picked up doily making again and loving it! So, I have a lot to keep me busy this summer. Of course it never hurts to have a few new patterns to play with! Cindy
I am taking a break before my last year of my Masters degree-----sewing, knitting, crocheting and resting
My summer plans include crocheting hats and sewing clothing for Rwanda babies and toddlers. Thank you for the free patterns!

Since I am retired, along with the normal day-to-day activities, I plan on spending the summer working on several baby quilts, crochet and knit blankets, and baby clothes for my 1st grandchild that is due around Christmas! I am so excited. This book will be a great resource. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I am working on baby dresses for service men's babies, fininshing a king size afghan and making an afghan for my neighbor.

I try to keep summertime FREE, but I did just start crocheting a lap top/bookbag for my daughter for the upcoming school year. - Messenger style - purple/green/turquoise!
This looks like an interesting book! My summer plans are to crochet afghans for two nieces who have graduated high school, make up a pattern for a 'zoidberg', and get started on crocheted Christmas gifts. Plans are one thing...actions, well they take a little longer!
I have to work the entire summer. But I am making 8 baby afghans and a whole bunch of stuffed penguins for a baby shower. In addition to that I am trying to work on Christmas presents for my grandchildren
