Afghan measures approximately 45" x 66".

Red Heart® Super Saver® Econo, 100% virgin acrylic, Art. E300 (8 and 6 ounce/226.8 and 170.1 gram skeins).
Amount: Two eight-ounce skeins each of CA 352 Dark Teal, CB 375 Raspberry, CC 316 Soft White, and CD 347 Light Periwinkle.

SUSAN BATES® Crochet Hook: U.S. Size H-8 [5mm].

GAUGE: Each panel measures 5" across and 66" long. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge given.

FIRST PANEL: With CA ch 227. Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 2, skip next 2 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * to last 3 ch**; ch 2, skip next 2 ch, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in last ch for end lp; rep from * across opposite side of ch, end at ** ch 2, skip next 2 ch, (sc, ch 2) all in same ch as first sc for end lp; join with a sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Rnd 2: Attach CB in the ch-2 sp before an end lp, ch 1, sc in same sp; *** (3 dc, ch 3,3 dc) all in end lp - end shell made; sc in next ch-2 sp; * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) all in next ch-2 sp - shell made **; sc in next ch-2 sp; rep from * to next end lp; rep from *** across, end at **; join to first sc. Fasten off.

Rnd 3: Attach CC in a ch-3 end sp, ch 1; ** (sc, ch 3, sc) all in same sp - picot made; ch 2, skip next dc, picot in next dc, ch 2, picot in next sc, * ch 2, picot in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, picot in next sc; rep from * to next end shell; ch 2, skip next dc, picot in next dc, ch 2; rep from ** across; join to first sc. Fasten off.

Rnd 4: Attach CD in the ch-3 sp before an end picot, ch 1,** picot in ch-3 sp, ch 2, end shell in next ch-3 sp, ch 2, picot in next ch-3 sp, shell in next ch-3 sp, * sc in next ch-3 sp, shell in next ch-3 sp; rep from * to last picot before next end.

Rnd 5: Attach CA in an end ch-3 sp, ch 1, ** (picot, ch 5, picot) all in end sp, ch 2, skip next 2 de, picot in next dc, ch 2, sc in next sc, picot in next ch-3 sp, * sc in next sc, ch 2, picot in next ch-2 sp, ch 2; rep from * to the picot before end shell; sc in next sc, picot in next ch-3 sp, sc in next sc, ch 2, picot in next dc, ch 2, skip next 2 dc; rep from ** across; join to first sc. Fasten off.

2ND PANEL: Work Rnds 1-4 same as First Panel.

Joining Rnd 5: Attach CA in an end ch-3 sp, ch 1,** (picot, ch 5, picot) all in end sp, ch 2, skip next 2 dc, picot in next dc, ch 2, sc in next sc, picot in next ch-3 sp, sc in next sc, [ch 2, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, remove lp from hook, insert hook into corresponding lp on completed panel and draw lp through, ch 1, sc in same ch-2 sp, ch 2, sc in next sc] 38 times, picot in next ch-3 sp, sc in next sc, ch 2, picot in next dc, ch 2, skip next 2 dc; complete next side same as First Panel from **. Make and join 7 more panels same as for 2nd Panel for a total of 9 panels across. Weave in ends.
