About 10 x 11"

You Need: Color A — 4 skeins (Off White)

Color B: 2 skeins (Dark Brown)

Macrame Beads #4410: 1 package

Needle: One "Boye" crochet hook Size K

Gauge: 3 front sc & 2 back sc to 2"

Note: Work rather loosely throughout.

With Color A — ch 48. Join with sl st into a ring, careful not to twist chain.

Row 1: Work 1 sc in each ch.

Row 2: * Ch 1, insert hook from front to back before next sc, bring to front after the sc, & draw up a loop, yo & through 2 loops for a front sc, ch 1, insert hook from back to front before next sc & bring to back after the sc, draw up a loop, yo & through 2 loops for back sc, repeat from * around. Repeat Row 2 for 11". Sl st in next space, ch 1 then work 1 sc in each st around, sl st to first sc, fasten off. Sew lower edges tog.

FLAP: Join Color B to sl st, ch 1, turn.

Row 1: 1 sc in each of next 22 sc, ch 1, turn. Work in sc on the 22 sc for 8 more rows. Next row dec 1 sc each side then repeat dec every other row twice more. Work 1 row even. Fasten off. On right side, starting in first row of flap with B — work 1 row of sc with ch-8 buttonloop at center of flap, fasten off.

STRAP: With B — ch 80.

Row 1: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch, 3 sc in end ch, along other side of chain work 1 sc in each st, join to first sc, fasten off. Sew to each side of bag. Sew beads in place.

Fringe: Cut two 16" strands of B. Fold in half and draw through st at lower edge then draw ends through loop & tighten. Repeat in every other st on lower edge.
