Pillow

Materials
4-ply "main color" knitting worsted (mint green shown)
4-ply white knitting worsted for contrasting trim
2 ¾"-3" Bottle Baby doll mask
Baby hands — size and type to go with mask
14" round pillow form
Size H crochet hook

Pillow Back

Row 1: Ch 8, join to form a ring, ch 3, 12 dc in ring, join, ch 3.

Row 2: 2 dc in each dc, join, ch 3.

Row 3: 1 dc in next dc, *2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc; repeat from * around. Join and ch 3 at the end of each row.

Repeat from * for 6 more rows (9 rows total).

Repeat for the front.

White Trim for Pillow Front and Bonnet

Row 1: Attach white yarn to the top of a dc st of the 6th row. Ch 3, dc in same space, *ch 3, skip 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc; repeat from * around. Join.

Row 2: Sc in between the 2 dc, *(1 sc, 3 dc, 1 sc) in ch 3 space, sc in between dc; repeat from * around. Fasten off.

For Bonnet: Attach yarn to top of a dc st of the 3rd row. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 of trim.

Arms

Make 2 arms, following arm directions for "Baby in Bunting." Set aside.

Assembly

  1. Make a chain with 125 sts. Lace through the trim around the 3rd row. Insert doll head. Tie tightly. Make 2 pom-poms and attach to each end.
  2. Sew arms at shoulder position (see photo).
  3. Sew or single crochet the 2 pillow pieces together, enclosing the pillow form.
  4. Repeat the 1st and 2nd rows of trim all around the outside edge.
