Make squares of Bucilla "Wool and Shetland Wool," 2 oz balls;
or Bear Brand, Fleisher's or Botany Machine Washable Winsom, 2 oz skeins;
or equivalent

Use Crochet Hook, Size G afghan hook or size required to obtain gauge

GAUGE: Each Square approximately 8 ins. square

With size G afghan hook and A, ch 34 for lower edge.

Row 1–First Half of Row–Retaining all loops on hook; draw up a loop in 2nd ch from hook and a loop in each remaining ch; 34 loops on hook.

2nd Half of Row–To complete row, work off loops in following manner; yo hook, draw through first loop on hook, * yo hook, draw through next 2 loops on hook; repeat from * until 1 loop remains on hook.

Row 2–Counting loop on hook as first loop of row, insert hook under 2nd vertical bar, yo and draw up a loop, draw up a loop in each remaining vertical bar to within 1 bar of end, insert hook under both bars of last st, yo and draw up a loop; 34 loops on hook. Work off loops as before to complete row.

Repeat row 2 until 32 rows–about 8 ins. from beg.

Final Row–Work a sl st under 2nd and each remaining vertical bar to within 1 bar of end, insert hook under both bars and work last sl st. Fasten off.
