About 52 by 54 inches plus fringe

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Columbia-Minerva Nantuk Sweater & Afghan Yarn (2 oz pull skein): 6 skeins of Winter White, 2 skeins each of Tangerine, Hot Pink, Avocado #2 and Medium Blue, 4 skeins of Avocado #1

Needles: One "Boye" circular Size 10 and one crochet hook Size G

Gauge: 4 sts to 1 inch; 5 rows to 1 inch.

Note: When changing colors always pick up next color from under dropped color to prevent a hole.

Panel #1Make 3: With Winter White—cast on 40 sts. P 1 row.

Start flowers:

Row 1: K 31 Winter White, join Pink and K 3, join 2nd skein of White and K to end.

Row 2: P 5 White, 5 Pink, with White—P to end.

Joining colors as indicated on Chart #1, start with Row 3 and work to top of chart. With White, K 1 row and P 1 row then repeat the 150 rows of chart. K 1 row. Bind off as to P.

Panel #2Make 2: With Winter White—cast on 40 sts. P 1 row.

Start flowers:

Row 1: K 34 Winter White, join Avocado #2 and K 2, join 2nd skein of White and K to end.

Row 2: P 3 White, 4 Avocado #2, with White—P to end.

Starting with Row 3 and joining new colors where indicated, work to top of Chart #2 then starting at Row 7, work to top of Chart #2 again. With White—K 1 row. Bind off as to P.

On right side with Avocado #1—crochet 1 row of sc around each panel, inc'ing at corners. On wrong side of 1 long edge of panel #1, with Avocado #1—crochet 1 row of sc, ch 1 turn and work 1 more row of sc, fasten off. Work 2 rows on other long edge of same panel and set aside for center of afghan. Work 2 rows of sc on inside long edges of other 2 panels #1. Work 2 rows of sc on each long edge of panels #2. With Avocado #1 sew panels tog on wrong side starting with panel #1 and alternating with panel #2.

Join Avocado #1 at one corner and work 1 row of sc around outer edges, inc'ing at corners, join to first st with a sl st, ch 1, turn. Joining and turning at end of each row, work 3 more rows, join and fasten off.

Loop Fringe: Join Avocado #1 in first sc at short end,* holding yarn over left index finger, insert hook in next sc, draw up a 2 inch loop from yarn at back of finger and draw through sc, with loop still on index finger, pass hook under loop and draw bottom of loop through the 2 loops on hook then drop loop from finger, repeat from * across. Fringe other end the same.
