MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Columbia-Minerva Nantuk Sweater & Afghan Yarn (2 oz pull skein): 5 skeins of Color A and 4 skeins each of Colors B, C & D

Needles: One "Boye" crochet hook Size G

Gauge: 1 pat to 4 inches

With Color A—ch 450.

Row 1: 1 dc in 5th ch from hook, (skip next 2 ch, in next ch work 1 dc-ch 1 & 1 dc for a small group) 3 times, skip 2 ch, in next ch work 1 dc, (ch 1 & 1 dc) 3 times for a top group, (skip 2 ch, 1 small group in next ch) 3 times, ** (skip 2 ch, yo and draw up a loop in next ch, yo and through 2 loops) 3 times, yo and through 4 loops on hook for a dec group, (skip 2 ch, 1 small group in next ch) 3 times, skip 2 ch, 1 top group in next ch, (skip 2 ch, 1 small group in next ch) 3 times, repeat from ** to last 4 ch, skip 2 ch, yo and draw up a loop in next ch, yo and through 2 loops, yo and draw up a loop in last ch, yo and through 2 loops, yo and through 3 loops, fasten off.

Row 2: Join Color B, turn. With 1 loop on hook, yo and draw up a loop in top of first st, yo and through 2 loops, yo, draw up a loop in ch-1 space of next group, yo and through 2 loops, yo and through 3 loops, work a small group in ch-1 space of each of next 2 groups, 1 small group in first space of the next top group, 1 top group in center space of same top group, 1 small group in last space of same top group, 1 small group in ch-1 space of each of next 2 groups, * yo, draw up a 1 loop in space of next group, yo and through 2 loops, skip next dec group, yo, draw up a loop in next space, yo and through 2 loops, yo and through 3 loops for a dec group, 1 small group in each of next 2 spaces, 1 small group in first space of top group, 1 top group in center space of same top group, 1 small group in last space of same top group, 1 small group in each of next 2 spaces, repeat from * to last space then holding back last loop of each dc, work 1 dc in last space and in last st, yo and through 3 loops, fasten off.

Repeat Row 2 for pat, working 1 row each of Colors C, D, A & B until there are 77 stripes in all. Fasten off, weave in ends.
